We provide our members with many benefits, including:

  1. International recognition as a producer of 100% pure Australian tea tree oil
  2. Access to documentation and assistance to become ATTIA Code of Practice accredited
  3. Use of the Pure Australian Tea Tree Oil logo (subject to conditions)
  4. Support and advocacy in dealing with government and regulatory agencies, research and development groups and the media
  5. Advice and assistance in growing, harvesting, distilling and packaging tea tree oil
  6. Marketing data on the production of and demand for tea tree oil
  7. A monthly newsletter on issues that affect the industry
  8. A voice in determining the direction of the industry

For all Membership categories any annual fees and levies are due annually on the 30th of June for 12 months in advance. For producer members the admin levy is also payable on the 30th of June each year and is calculated on the annual production in Kg for the production period immediately prior. (eg for 2019 membership, the production period would be from 01 Jul 2018 to 30 June 2019 inclusive).

Producer and Non Producer membership of ATTIA Ltd is restricted to Australian individuals or entities. If you are from overseas and would like more information on associate membership of ATTIA Ltd please do not hesitate to contact ATTIA.

There are 3 levels of membership in ATTIA:

1.    Producer Member

Definition:

A natural person or an entity that is domiciled in Australia, owns or leases a body of land (minimum 2.00 hectares) which is, or intends to be, planted with Melaleuca alternifolia with the express intention of producing 100% pure Australian tea tree oil (TTO) for sale or export. A Member of this category must achieve COP Accreditation within 24 months of their acceptance as a Member of this category by the ATTIA Board of Directors.
Any new Membership proposal in this category must be accompanied by a proposer and a seconder both of whom are either existing Producer or Non-Producer Members of ATTIA Ltd.
Annual membership fee: $350 + GST plus an administration levy of 10 cents per kg of TTO produced in the defined 12 month period between 1 July to 30 June. In addition a new Member in this category must pay a one-off joining fee of $1,000.00 + GST to cover the cost of up to 2 pre-audits.

2.    Non-Producer Member

Definition:

A natural person or an entity that is domiciled in Australia and owns or leases a place of business in Australia which is used primarily for the sale, export or marketing of 100% pure Australian TTO and/or TTO-containing cosmetics or other TTO-containing products. A Member of this category must strive towards COP accreditation and achieve this within 24 months of their acceptance as a Member of this category by the ATTIA Board of Directors.
Any new Membership proposal in this category must be accompanied by a proposer and a seconder both of whom are either existing Producer or Non-Producer Member of ATTIA Ltd.
Annual membership fee: $1,000.00 + GST.

3.    Associate Member

Definition:

A natural person or entity that is domiciled in Australia or overseas with a distinct connection to the TTO industry in any capacity; generally a business which is used primarily for the sale or marketing of 100% pure Australian TTO and/or TTO-containing cosmetics or other products.
Any new Membership proposal in this category must be accompanied by a Proposer who is either a Producer or Non-Producer Member.
Annual membership fee: $350.00 + GST if Australian otherwise GST free.

Note that payments from overseas members does not attract GST but must ONLY be paid by telegraphic transfer and must  be in Australian $ with all charges bourne by the payer to ATTIA'sbank account as shown on the membership invoice when this is recieved.
